Orange Colour Combinations

Orange with Neutrals

Using neutral colours is a great way to tone down the boldness of orange. These colours create a balanced and sophisticated look.

White and Orange: Pairing orange with white can make a room feel fresh and clean. For example, an orange accent wall in a room with white furniture can create a striking yet harmonious look.

Beige and Orange: Beige is a warm neutral that works well with orange. You could have orange cushions on a beige sofa or an orange rug on a beige floor to add a cosy feel to your space.

Grey and Orange: Gray can make the orange look modern and chic. Think of grey walls with orange decor items like vases, lamps, or throw blankets. This combination is stylish and contemporary.

Orange with Other Vibrant Colours

For a lively and energetic look, try pairing orange with other bold colours like blue, green, and pink. These combinations can make your home feel vibrant and fun.

Orange and Blue: This combination is both bold and balanced. Use blue cushions on an orange chair or blue artwork on an orange wall. The coolness of blue complements the warmth of orange beautifully.

Orange and Green: Green and orange together can create a fresh and lively atmosphere. You could have green plants in orange pots or a green and orange patterned rug. This combo brings a touch of nature indoors.

Orange and Pink: Pink and orange create a playful and vibrant look. Try orange walls with pink accessories like cushions, throws, or small decor items. This pairing is cheerful and bright.

How to Balance Bold Colour Combinations

Use One Colour as the Main Focus: Choose one bold colour to be the dominant hue and use the other colours as accents. For example, if orange is your main colour, use blue or green in smaller amounts.

Add Neutrals: Incorporate neutral colours to break up the bold colours and give your eyes a place to rest. This helps create a more harmonious look.

Keep It Simple: Don’t use too many bold colours in one space. Stick to two or three vibrant colours and balance them with neutrals.

Incorporating Orange in Different Rooms
