Product Description

Dulux AquatechTM Max Waterproofing is a super durable, easy to apply, thick and
elastomeric roof coating that is made with fine pigments and extremely durable high bond polymer. Its breakthrough Hydroresist technology forms an impenetrable tough yet flexible barrier film over porous surfaces to bridge cracks and to prevent water seepage and fungal attacks.It is suitable to be used for areas that require special waterproofing like roofs, balconies, RC gutters and planter boxes, floor slabs, decks, external walls and interior floors under tile.

Application Description

Self-priming coat by diluting with water up to 30%.
Allow to dry 4-6 hours. Followed by 2-3 coat of undiluted paint by roller at
perpendicular direction, with overcoating time of 4-6 hours. Leave to dry for a minimum
24 hours depend on the temperature & humidity.
For areas that require strengthening, use a polyester mesh on the first layer while it is still wet.
Notes: Do not apply during rain or in wet conditions to obtain best waterproofing and
finishing. Not recommended for constant immersion in water.

Health & Safety

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well-ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Wear eye/hand protection. Do not breathe vapour/spray. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Safety Data Sheet available for professional/user on request. Lift with care – gross weight exceeds 10kg. Keep out of reach of children. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor if you feel unwell.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    The surface must be clean, dry and sound. Remove any old paint, dirt, plaster, fungus
    and algae by using appropriate method. Apply Dulux Fungicidal Wash to treat the surface affected by algae/fungal. Use a mixture of sand and cement to patch larger holes or defected on the horizontal surface. The surface should be able to drain off water or have a slope of 1-2% to allow water run-off.
    For new surface, allow the surface dry well (Moisture reading on a Protimeter should be <16% and surface temperature not over 40°C)
    For chalky surface, remove as much of the powdery chalk before applying.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after used.
